How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My husband was a former contractor who had worn these boots because of the comfort and durability. When we started out we first handled all kinds of liquidations and closeouts but our most popular product was the Rhino Work Boots & Safety Shoes. Ultimately it took over our business so we decided to concentrate solely on this product - a product we believed in.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our customer service is outstanding. We answer all e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner. We are always available to address any customer concerns. We stand behind our product with a warranty against any manufacturer's defects - but I have to say in all these years I can count the number of problems on one hand. Most problems were due to customers not using the right shoe for the job or industry they work in.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our North Carolina sales office currently handles sales in all U.S. States and around the world. Right now we do not intend to expand to other planets in the solar system (LOL).

All contact is done through e-mail, phone calls or fax. Invoices and any other shipping paperwork is done through e-mail or fax. For large volume buyers we can set up a sample order. Our usual minimum purchase is only 18 pairs and you can mix and match the styles any way you want.
What type of payments do you accept?
We like bank wire transfers because they speed up the order processing but we also accept credit cards through PayPal for Domestic sales only. If the size of the order is very large we may require a bank wire transfer unless the customer would agree to pay the credit card processing fees.
Which areas do you service?
We have serviced all of the U.S. domestic market and many many countries around the world.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Barbara Karpowicz is the owner of the company and overseas all daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
You can reach us by phone from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern time) or by e-mail or fax anytime. If all lines are busy or someone is away from their desk we request you leave a message so we can call you back. We answer all phone messages and e-mails in a timely manner.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
I would say the best compliment would be for a customer to re-order. We have customers that have been with us for many years. That's what we strive for.
